Advanced Placement (AP) offers over 30 college-level courses across a wide range of subjects—including English, history, humanities, world languages, math, psychology, and science.
AP courses go beyond memorizing facts. They emphasize critical thinking, thoughtful discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and strong writing skills that prepare you for college and beyond.

These classes are more rigorous than standard high school courses. Scoring well on AP exams can lead to college credit, advanced placement, or both—potentially saving you thousands of dollars in tuition.
AP exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. Many colleges award credit or advanced placement for scores of 3 or higher.
AP exams are given in May. There’s an exam fee but reductions and subsidies are available to students with financial need. SLP Offers the following courses:
