Theater
As an educational theatre program, our goal is to provide a variety of theatrical learning experiences—both in performance and technical production—through a breadth of dramatic styles. To this end, the genre, size, and structure vary by production. While we strive to build our program by increasing its numbers, we also work to build the program by improving the quality of the learning experience, as a whole.
St. Louis Park High School Theatre Presents
String November 13-15 and 20-22
The Greek Fates were content to spend their lives toiling atop Mt. Olympus: Clotho spinning the threads of life, Lachesis measuring one’s destiny, and Atropos cutting lifelines with her fatal shears. That is, until they snip the string of Zeus’s paramour and he banishes them to live among mortals in the modern world. There, Atropos falls for a lonely security guard, and when she spares his life, she throws the world into utter chaos. This charming musical, with music and lyrics by Adam Gwon and book by Sarah Hammond, provides a comedic exploration of the inevitabilities of romantic and familial love.
