Students meet to explore new kinds of art and to create their own art with potential input from fellow students. This is an opportunity for student artists to explore and create for themselves without having assignments or grades. Students self-direct their own projects and collaborate with others if desired. Students bring their own materials to use but may keep them in a locked cabinet if they do not want to transport them everyday.

By Your Side is an inclusion club for students with and without special needs. Students meet during Action Wednesday at school- talking, playing games, and doing activities.There are also trips taken through Special Olympics MN. By Your Side aims to deconstruct stigmas surrounding disability

Students shoot clay targets (traps).  Practice twice a week.  We compete against other teams in our conference.  Spring season runs from mid March to mid June. Included in the Spring season is a state qualifying tournament and a state championship. Fall season runs from late August to early October; no tournaments or championships in the fall season.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and young entrepreneurs. Members of SLP DECA will participate in a Back-to-Business Leadership Conference, compete against other students from metro schools in prepared events and role plays. In addition students will have the opportunity to participate in community service projects and other leadership summits.

Esports club competes in several video game titles against schools across the state and the country. We offer many different games that students can team up and compete in. There are also plenty scholarship opportunities for our students in esports, and we sometimes get to engage with professionals. Esports is also a fully vocational club that teaches kids other skills such as broadcasting, design, marketing, social media management, team skills, and social skills.

Gender + Sexuality Alliance club provides a safe and welcoming space to celebrate, discuss, and learn about LGBTQIA+ identities.

Girls United is an intersectional feminism club that operates with the goal of empowering women, especially young women. This is a club for everyone, regardless of gender. Through conversation, reflection, and action, we aim to create safe spaces, and shed light on issues that women all over the world face while also inspiring people to create change.

Jewish Student Union is a place for the jewish students to come together and have a place to meet to discuss Jewish topics and culture.

This club is for Latino students in grades 9-12. Our meetings provide an affinity space for students connect as well as explore and celebrate Latino culture.

This club is for students who enjoy math and would like to learn new topics and develop better problem solving skills. We compete against students in neighboring schools five times during the winter.

In Model UN, students represent a country of their choice within areas such as the International Court of Justice, the Human Rights Council, General Assembly, and more. It’s a great way to hear new perspectives, experience aspects of different cultures, and further develop critical thinking skills. Students work together to passionately discuss and come up with solutions to a wide variety of global issues.

A club of trained students who provide confidential support to those facing challenges. They are dedicated to helping students in need of a friend, a listener, support or encouragement.

Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. Each season ends with an exciting FIRST Championship.

As an educational theatre program, our goal is to provide a variety of theatrical learning experiences—both in performance and technical production—through a breadth of dramatic styles. To this end, the genre, size, and structure vary by production. While we strive to build our program by increasing its numbers, we also work to build the program by improving the quality of the learning experience, as a whole.

The Thespian Society is an extension of the HS Theatre Program. Students who've participated in more that 100 hours of theatre (while in high school) are eligible to join. Thespians take leadership in planning and leading cast/crew/pit activities.

The ultimate frisbee club, Crush Ultimate, strives to promote the sport of ultimate and spirit of the game while also developing competitive athletes in an inclusive and accepting environment. 

Orange Crush has a girls team and a boys (open) team. We participate in leagues sponsored by Minnesota Ultimate.

No previous experience needed to join the team!

SPRING LEAGUE: Begins the 1st week after spring break.  

DUES:  $175 per player paid directly to the SLP Ultimate Frisbee Club plus $37 for a required Minnesota Ultimate Membership.

Additional costs included cleats and jerseys/shorts ($60). No Fees are due at time of registrations
