PSEO

Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) allows eligible 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-grade students to earn college credit at no cost while still enrolled in high school. Through PSEO, students take college-level courses and earn both high school and college credit by successfully completing those courses.

Most PSEO courses are offered on the college or university campus, though some courses may be available online. Students may participate on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on their academic goals and eligibility.

Eligibility and Enrollment

  • PSEO courses are primarily available to 11th- and 12th-grade students.

  • Students must check individual post-secondary schools websites for PSEO eligibility requirements.

  • Each participating college or university sets its own admission and course requirements.

  • Students must meet eligibility criteria and follow participation limits outlined in the Postsecondary Enrollment Options Act and the PSEO Reference Guide.

PSEO for 10th Grade Students (CTE Pathway)

Eligible 10th-grade public, nonpublic, and homeschooled students may enroll in one state-paid Career and Technical Education (CTE) course during their first term of PSEO participation.

  • Not all colleges offer PSEO to 10th-grade students

  • Not all institutions offer eligible CTE courses

  • Course availability and requirements vary by institution

For a list of campuses offering PSEO to 10th grade students, including eligible CTE courses, access the Participating Postsecondary Institutions List
